A Sporting Chance takes out top honours in Milan!
A Sporting Chance was selected for the prestigious 24th Milano International FICTS Festival held in Milan, Italy in October 2006. Christina Bernar from Good Times was there for all the action at this event along with an amazing group of international documentary makers and their films.
Good Times Productions was thrilled to have A Sporting Chance nominated in the ‘Guirlande d’Honneur’ category aptly named – Documentary: Great Champions.
We are ecstatic (and still in disbelief) to announce that we won not only our selected category, but were also the proud recipients of the Jaeger-Le Coultre Sport Movies & TV Award 2006. The FICTS International Jury assigns this award to the best work among all the winners of the ‘Guirlande d’Honneur’ in the Festival Sections.
A great feat against some tough competition from around the world – what an honour!
A Sporting Chance will now participate in the 1st Warsaw International FICTS Festival in Warsaw, Poland in February 2007 due to the win.
There will also be a special screening of A Sporting Chance in Jerusalem for all the UN staff working to help the Palestinian people, we are honoured to have our work shown to such an amazing group of people.
